Internet Penetration Rates in East Asian and Chinese Regions 1995-2012
How have the Internet users been growing across the East Asian and Chinese Regions? Based on ITU and CNNIC datasets, I have gathered related data on the Internet penetration rates (percentage of the Internet users) from 1995 to 2012 and visualized results of 1997 to 2012 below, along with some observations and hypotheses.
Note the “maritime” nature of the Internet development –> “Maritime” Internet hypothesis and “Continental” Chinese Internet hypothesis (to be blog posted soon)
